ISUCA OVA 1

In keeping up with tradition, the anime continues to butcher the manga. This time it’s the Island Training arc and they’ve failed to introduce Yashaou, the spirit residing in Shinichirou’s katana. But I’ve snuck her in as a little bonus.

ISUCA BD Vol. 1

I said this at the end of the TV releases, but I need to say it again:
The manga is magnitudes better and if you found something in this show that you liked I can almost guarantee you’ll like the manga also. Give it a go.
Both feature tits, so you can’t lose!

ISUCA 10 End

All the budget went here, enjoy.
It’s a shame the director decided to re-write the story and throw in copious amounts of gore. The manga is magnitudes better and if you found something in this show that you liked I can almost guarantee you’ll like the manga also. Give it a go.

No new youma this week. Shiro has a technique, however, that we’ll elaborate on after the break because it’s slightly spoilerish.

Want to learn our True Names? Join us! We’re in need of Translators and Translation checkers, Typesetters and KFXers. Skilled Editors and Quality Checkers are also welcome to apply. And if your an Editor that knows Pokémon inside and out, we want you! If any of these positions appeal to you, head over to our recruitment page to get started.

ISUCA 09

Who’s this hot young thing?

As usual, more information awaits.

This is where we’d normally put a little note about recruitment. That’s still happening, but for something a little different I’m going to introduce two new features of our site.
First is our Off-Topic chat page. You’ll find it in the top menu. Jump in and ask us a question or two, or just voice your opinion about something.
Second, we have polls now. Because we can.

ISUCA 08

This week on ISUCA, Shinichirou was caught molesting an unconscious Sakuya, thereby incurring the wrath of Tamako.

There’s no new youma this week, but instead we finally learn about Sakuya’s bow. So after a break we’ll have a little about their different spirit fighting equipment.

ISUCA 06 & 07

Frustrated with the delay, Tamako relieves her boredom by raiding itsPs Brassiere collection.
Things are almost back on track so, baring the seemingly inevitable, this weeks episode should be more timely.

The youma of the fortnight are after the break.

If the extent of my magical powers was the ability to strip girls while leaving them otherwise unharmed, I wouldn’t be angry.

ISUCA 03

Personally, I’m disappointed that the adaptation isn’t following the manga. We’ve missed out on dozens of MC × Nekomata ecchi shenanigans.

We’re continuing with our Normal subtitle track for normal people, and our Super localized track for people who don’t like Japanese names in Japanese media.
The Pokémon subs will be made available as patches as each episode is completed. Understand that compiling joke-subs are the lowest of the low priority jobs we have, and aren’t a good reason to delay releasing a show.

ISUCA 01v2 & 02

What do you mean there are nubs that refuse to learn the names of youma?
Yeah, sorry Shimazu-san Shaniqua, it’s true. Apparently, learning names is hard for some people.

Well, the vocal minority has spoken, learning names of youma is somehow totally different and infinitely harder than learning human names, so we’ve been forced to delay releasing ISUCA for the masses in order to create additional alternate subtitle tracks. There’s even a patch for the first episode if you found associating the name nekomata with the character on-screen simply too hard to process.
We wholeheartedly suggest trying all three tracks in our Episode 01 V2 release to find the level of localization that’s right for you. You should apply the patch for the first episode regardless, as it contains a few typo fixes on the main track.

Nekomata still best girl though.

For those of you who aren’t allergic to immersing yourself in Japanese culture and aren’t deathly afraid of learning something, the youma of the week is after the break.

We’re still hiring. We’re in need of Translators and Translation checkers, Encoders, Typesetters and KFXers. Skilled Editors and Quality Checkers are also welcome to apply. If any of these positions appeal to you, head over to our recruitment page to get started.

ISUCA 01

Kitty best girl.

So we’ve decided that we’re not going to rename Japanese youkai into simplified English equivalents. Therefore a nekomata is a nekomata, and not a “two-tailed cat”. For starters, the description “two-tailed cat” is insufficient to describe a nekomata.

A list of all the youkai this week follows the break.

Also for those wondering, AT-X is censored, just like all the other stations. However, if you look hard enough at our encode, perhaps squint a little while tilting your screen, you can just make out the nipples that have been censored. So we’re confident the Bluray edition will be uncensored.

After some feedback from a few people that found it hard to associate the name nekomata with the character onscreen, we’ve created two additional subtitle tracks. We wholeheartedly suggest trying all three tracks in our V2 release to find the level of localization that’s right for you. You should apply the patch for the first episode regardless, as it contains a few typo fixes on the main track.
