This show is so much fun. Future episodes should be much quicker to release. TV sources suck for this show but the one simulcast available is even worse.
Some informational notes after the break.
The DDY shrine is looking for shrine maidens. Failing that, we’re in need of timers. If you’re interested, head over to our recruitment page to get started.
This episode has a number of references to a number of topics surrounding the Secrets of Fatima, a set of three secrets told by the Virgin Mary in an apparition to three children in Fatima, Portugal. These secrets tell of visions of Hell and the coming of the Apocalypse.
The Gate of Caelum – Caelum is latin for “(the vault of) heaven”. So literally the Gates to Heaven.
John 10:9 in latin form. – Ego sum ostium per me si quis introierit salvabitur et ingredietur et egredietur et pascua inveniet. Roughly “I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture.” We suspect that this is related to the “Gate of Caelum.”
The Anti-Creed of Fatima – This is purely speculation as it’s not really explained in the show yet, but this may be a reference to the Fatima Prayer. The Fatima Prayer, originating from the Marian apparitions at Fatima, is added to the end of each Decade of the Rosary in Catholic tradition. It reads, “O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, lead all souls to Heaven, especially those most in need of Thy mercy. Amen.” I suspect that the “Anti-Creed” of this prayer means the antithesis which is instead sending souls to Hell, rather than Heaven.
