Dragons? War? Wasn’t this a show about people who watch anime past 30 years of age?
Oh wait, that’s Wizards…
Anyway, our second show of the season is Junketsu no Maria. As it is set in Medieval France and is remarkably historically accurate, we have some Translation notes after the break.
We apologize for the delay in getting this released. The good news is that we’ve sorted out our staff scheduling now, so subsequent episodes should come out in a more timely manner.
Hey. Hey you. We’re still hiring. We’re in need of Translators and Translation checkers, Encoders, Typesetters and KFXers. If any of these positions appeal to you, head over to our recruitment page to get started.
The producers have been kind enough to provide some historical notes on the show’s homepage. (Google translated)
In addition to that, the following notes will help with your internalized world building.
Marcel of Paris was the ninth bishop of Paris who was later canonized for his quest to hunt down and slay a dragon that was devouring prostitutes.
Cardinal Henry Beaufort was the Bishop of Winchester and a member of the royal family of England. He is best known for his involvement in the trials of Joan of Arc after her capture.
La Pucelle: Tactics is a video game. In this case, however, it is another common name for Joan of Arc.
Routiers is a name given to mercenaries that became popular during the time of the Hundred Years War. Larger companies of routiers could be surprisingly well organised. They each had a command structure with a staff that even included secretaries to collect and disperse their loot.
Special Daww bonus: A candid shot of our resident Typesetter hard at work on those dialogue effects:
Based Rageo for the duck release pic.
Thanks.
Been waiting for this.
Best. Typesetter. Evar.

A Rageo was sacrificed in the making of these subs.

That’s not itsP.
Are you sure?
I’m pretty convinced that itsP is a duck, myself.
QuackThanks!
oh, hey, nice succubus you’ve got there.
Thanks for your hard work, I’m Arabic Translator, and to tell you the truth I will use your translation in my releases for this show.
I’d like to ask, “Are you sure of your translation of OP?”
(though it comes in the end)
Because I have seen some translation of the OP and compared it with your’s and I think there is something wrong in it.
sorry, but i believe you should check it one more time.
This is the translation I found and it’s not all correct for sure:

Thank you an keep going XD
Dude… it’s song.
Something you should understand is that the lyrics you found are not official lyrics. It even lists the person who contributed the lyrics they heard: “Thaerin Philos”. After having several people including a native japanese person check the romaji before release we’re fairly certain there are few, if any, issues with it.
That being said, when official lyrics are released with the OP single, we will check them again to make sure they are correct.
Thanks for your response, and I didn’t say that your tans are wrong.
Anyway, your release of this show more better than the sh*t funimation do.
Once again, Thank you :)
Thanks for the release ^^
What? Have you, by any chance, some kind of problem with “people who watch anime past 30 years of age”? :P
Anyway, thanks for the new release! ;)
