Nice TS in that Next Episode, it made my toaster (MPC-HC) crash though. Can you add an extra chapter for it (for ep2-end) so I can skip it really easy? I’m sure I’m not the only one with this problem, it’s not a big deal though. Do what you want.

Yeah, but it drops 1 frame every 15 seconds in normal playback… I wasn’t using it because of this. That Typeset works a lot better though.
Playing the file at fullscreen 1080p, Madvr isn’t at max settings.

Last build (0.87.19). The problem isn’t the file, it drops frames (playing normaly) because my settings and/or toaster build.
Using similar settings (for Madvr) works fine now, Xy-Subfilter handles better that Typeset, using Xy-vsfilter freezes the image while the audio is still running. Now doesn’t drop frames while playing normally (Madvr+Xy-Subfilter).

For non-subbers, just unzip to the same directory as the video vile, and install the fonts.
I basically split each character and made them not appear when not on screen, as opposed to always keeping the whole phrase around. Later tonight I’ll experiment with using frame-by-frame matching of a whole word (instead of shadow animation) to see if that runs better.
I also cleaned up the effect to have a motion blur, and to keep the borders on the correct sides to maintain the perspective.
If you know how to do all that, why not apply to be a TS?

And I don’t really have regular amounts of time to dedicate to subbing. I’m not very quick, and I’m also missing some basic skills, for example: motion tracking.
That’s no problem, we also have shows that have minimal TS’ing requirements.
You could even work on our BD releases which wouldn’t require you to be available all the time.
And skill wise, we can teach you anything your missing.
That’s pretty good. I’d be interested to know how you split it up. Did you do it manually, or did you have a script do the work?
I did it manually. I actually didn’t know you could use a negative time in a \t tag before that. It crashes aegisub if you’re watching that part of the video when you put in a negative time though. you have to put in the negative time, and after go check it in the frame by frame.
Finally had a chance to redo it with the actual word placement instead of using shadows (and removed the background shadows from the letters). It’s only a tiny bit more efficient. TBH, I think it’s just having such large characters having to be drawn on screen that causes so much cpu drain.
