Subete ga F ni Naru: The Perfect Insider 01

Notice me, Sensei!

I would take this girl out for coffee. Hard.

Ever felt the need to express unrequited feelings while hanging out in Sensei’s office? Well, now you can. Begna-sensei is looking for students to fawn over him as a way to increase his ego. Head over to our recruitment page to get started.

    What kind of coffee ?

That ED kfx is a little laggy. Anyone else?

    • itsP

The ED KFX features a Game of Life simulation.

    • logarithm

I’ll do my best to optimize it for the next episode, but it’s still going to be pretty heavy.

      • logarithm

It’s 50% smaller now, but that might not make it any easier to play back.

Performance boost confirmed, my laptop with an i5 4300U can handle it fine now when previously the framerate would tank on the GoL lines. That means it’s probably about within the same territory as my kfx for Owari no Seraph’s first season.

  • man

dat .ass size though, ~40MB o_0

  • Eru

Isn’t this animated in 1080p? I watched the first ep from HS and it looked Full HD to me, at least the OP/ED do but the rest of the show looks way higher than 720.

    • itsP

Unfortunately, if we want to release it on nyaa, we have to abide by their Web source video is limited to 1280x720p or source resolution, whichever is lower rule. Their reasoning IIRC is that streaming sources won’t have adequate bitrate to justify a full HD release.
We did secure an exemption for the relatively flat artwork in Working!!! because we were able to demonstrate that Crunchyroll did have sufficient bitrate for a HD release, but with the levels of detail in this show we’d be unlikely to convince anyone at nyaa this time around.
HorribleSubs and similar are exempt from the above rule because they aren’t encoding their releases, they’re a straight out ripping group.

On the other hand, if it is a full HD show we’ll probably just do the one 1080p release when the BD’s arrive. We’ll see when the time comes.

Seems like it’ll be a nice show. Decent first episode too! Thanks for the dank OP/ED KFX.

  • haens

is this your TL or is that taken from crunchy?

    • itsP

We use Crunchyroll as a base, but it is TLC’d by not one, but two of our best translators.
We also have access to the Closed Captions and a third translator helping with QC.

  • Zerq

    Thank you! ^_^

  • Keaton

I am so stoked for this. itsP, you’re the man. Or woman. Person.

  • The ED KFX completely crashes mpv and vlc on Ubuntu 15.04 which admittedly has an extremely archaic libass. I’ll try building libass from the latest source and try again…

  • pikopika

    Thank you!

  • Seriously, why did you guys not include the italic style of the dialogue font “Cooper Md BT Medium” in your release? The italic style has its own design, which is better and different from the slanted version of the upright style (fake italic) the subtitle render produces when it can’t found the real italic style.
The font designer will cry, you know?

    • Didn’t know there was one. We’ll look into it, but, personally, I usually prefer slanted italics because it’s the same font style… Just italic. Lol.

      • Coincidently, I hate slanted italics. If I see slanted italics in dialogue, I’ll halt watching and restyle the sub.

  • brandy

Thanks for picking this one up, the first episode was outstanding and I’m hoping the rest of the series can maintain this incredible standard.

    A rare beast indeed.

  • yaku

About 80 percent identical to the Crunchyroll translation. Is it just an edit?

    • itsP

If you check our Fall announcements, you note that we use CrunchyRoll as a base, but we also have two TLC’s on the project to ensure accuracy. In addition, we also have access to the airing closed captions.

  • Astounding ED KFX. Next-level stuff. Some of the coolest stuff seen in KFX yet. Major props.

I watched eraser’s release for the first two episodes but may be switching to DDY after seeing the effort put into the KFX and some screenshots comparing the two releases’ wordings of various stuff. About the only thing drawing me to eraser is that it got blue, and I don’t know what factors nyaa mods are even using to determine that since they’re both CR-based translations… So anyway, I guess I’ll be watching DDY unless I’m convinced otherwise. Thanks for subbing this, one of the most interesting shows this season.

    • itsP

From what we’ve been told, the translations for both releases are near perfect, in fact they couldn’t find any significant TL errors in two episodes (they usually only take the time to review a single episode).
The decision on who got blue all came down to the moderators personal preference in editing style.

Naturally, we think ours is better. I know that the guys working on this show have all put a lot of effort into this.
