Like Maria, we’re still looking for that special someone. We’re in need of Translators and Translation checkers, Encoders, Typesetters and KFXers. If any of these positions appeal to you, head over to our recruitment page to get started.
Once again the producers have been kind enough to provide some historical notes on the show’s homepage. (Google translated)
Lord Provost: A Provost is a title usually given to a person who administers a borough. The modern day equivalent would be a Mayor. However, Joseph refers to Lord Provost of Paris, who presided a lower royal court.
Genoese mercenaries: Crossbow equipped mercenaries. Hired by the French army to help ward off the English.
Tarasque: The Tarasque was a sort of dragon with a lion’s head, six short legs like a bear’s, an ox-like body covered with a turtle shell, and a scaly tail that ended in a scorpion’s sting.
Cernunnos: An obscure and seldom mentioned Celtic god. Speculative interpretations identify it as a god of nature or fertility.
The Greatest Commandment: tl;dr: Be nice to others, and don’t forget to brush your teeth.
Are you experiencing strange linebreaks?
You’re most likely running an outdated Codec Pack. And out of all the codec packs, an outdated Kawaii Codec Pack is the cause of almost all reports of strange linebreaks.
Thanks:D
Thanks for the new episode!
Thanks, I love history
I don’t suppose you could spare time to do a real translation of the history notes?
So loving this show. Once again thank you so much for subbing it♥
The historically accurate fighting is giving me a boner.
