But the truth is that we often decide not to use honorifics in certain cases, like if the setting for a certain show isn’t specific to Japan. Take Junketsu no Maria for example.
Hmm is the case for this anime? No idea what this is about yet but the characters seems to be japanese.
The main characters are a psychiatrist and his hot nurse. Neither of these professions are exclusively Japanese.
