It has been bothering me since long ago, and I’ll wait till the end of the series to try to find the answer (I don’t like spoilers), but at least I’ll vent here now: once known Kuon’s identity, her very existence becomes a mistery, since she’s suppossed to have ties with the original Utawarerumono but the only characters that fit the bill are a long dead dog girl and an aftergame-only dog boy that was retconned into non-existence in the anime, and she’s a cat girl that has grown up surrounded by the cast of the original game, so she can be neither.
