Er, surprise?
Due to Jinsei’s unavailability as a Crunchyroll simulcast, all plans regarding the show have been officially dropped. After reviewing the first episode, our translator strongly advised against an original translation as it’d just be insanity for everyone working on it. Episode one contained ~500 lines of HEAVY dialogue, with just about x10 the typesetting. This would result in a rather significant delay, and we’d hate to keep you guys waiting. Apologies to those of you that were looking forward to our release.
So instead, we picked up Tokyo Ghoul! We’ve received numerous requests for this show and funnily enough, it was the only thing we could fit in our schedule. Our staff (and by staff I mean the encoder and I) happily jumped on this pretty quickly and got to work immediately, so I guess it’s a win for both sides.
A few things about censorship:
1. We will be consistently using Tokyo MX from here on out. (TVA was used for this episode)
2. No, AT-X is NOT uncensored. Yes, we have checked.
3. Yes, we will satisfy all you murderous psychopaths out there by doing the BDs.
Enjoy!
Thanks for picking this up!
Will Rokujouma and Magimoji go the same way as Jinsei or will you translate them from scratch? Just wandering cause they too have not been picked up by crunchyroll yet.
Depends. We did just pick up another TL so we might be able to pull it off ourselves without CR but we expect CR to get them.
So that’s how it got cancelled. Good thing you picked this. Awesome!
Finally someone other than HorribleSubs picked this up, I was starting to lose hope.
While I already know the BDs will be glorious, the censorship of this ain’t that bad – leagues above Brynhildr, that’s for sure.
Absolutely. It just looks like the already very dark scenes are much darker lol. Unless you just really like to see internal organs (l-lewd), there is no reason to wait
Censorship ? Oh damn i hate this , okay im dropping this anime in this season gonna wait for it in BD .
Oh man, I just watched FFF’s release of Jinsei. That show looks like a lot of work. So much information coming at you! The characters speak fast, they talk about complicated subjects, and there are signs. Tons of signs. I liked it a lot, but damn.
That was a nice first episode, glad you guys are doing this not interested in many shows this season. (But i’ll watch them all anyway)
Americans, seemingly, love to reference this thing, so I figured that I would go that route, as well.

Take a gander at the last Q & A on that page.
Anyway, ta for the release.
Ah, noted. I’ll keep an eye out for that next time, thanks.
Did you guys think of doing this cute show instead? Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun or maybe Ao Haru Ride? Watch ’em if you haven’t.
Gekkan Shoujo is being subbed by sekai which did great job.
I think Tokyo Ghouls is a great choice as no other good groups picked it up.
