Tokyo Ghoul 05

Delays brought to you by broken alarms and sleepy Australians.

[YAOI SFX INTENSIFIES]
Can he just die already pls. Where was Jesus when the author wrote this horrendous character?
Absolutely terrible. His lines are so bad I want to cry.
As usual, a few notes after the jump.
#RizeBestGirl

Like always, Tsukifaggot Tsukiyama feels the need to unnecessarily litter each episode with various foreign phrases that makes editing his lines a shitty task, more so than it already is.

This week’s notes are for the musically inept and non-italian; that is, maestoso, crescendo, and fortissimo. We decided to leave the terms as is, since he has Beethoven blaring in the background and everything.

Rather than being exclusive only to music, maestoso is also a noun that means ‘majestic’. If placed in a musical context, this would denote a ‘majestic, march-like’ tone. Crescendo describes a gradually increasing intensity/pitch, like a build-up of sorts. Tsukiyama likens Kaneki to a ‘reaching crescendo’, as he arrives with a fortissimo — a very loud sound, basically.

I’ll… uh, let you guys reach your own conclusions on that one.

  • Thank you! and He’s just a bad Hisoka clone

Nothing major, just think at 05:02 “How best to prepare THE delectable Kaneki-kun?” would be better. Just my two cents…

    • I seem to remember TLC saying it was somewhat of an arrogant or possessive statement as if it were sure to happen and he was merely deciding how to prepare his food. “How to cook my delicious hamburger-kun.” Essentially.

  • Any ETA on Gokukoku no Brynhildr?

  • The first BDbox, i mean

    • Sereft

It’s actually been out for ~2 days now, we’re just waiting for the uploader to seed it. Work on the BDs should resume fairly soon after that :>

      • Actually we got it downloaded but it’s not gonna be a quick release because the encoding for ~6 episodes wont be quick. We’ll see though, we might release them in 2episode volumes or per disc.

  • Sparky Kestrel

    Thanks for your release.

I want to ask, what is the status on Kanojo ga Flag o Oraretara ep9?

    • Sereft

Tomorrow! Most likely. <__< If not, then this weekend.

He Dame, I’m relatively new to subbing, I’ve only done a few songs and short sketches so far. I was wondering if you could tell me where you get your karaoke animation scripts from, or if you know of a guide for how to make them. Thanks!

    • Sereft

      Karaoke guides are pretty obscure.
The only thing I can really point you to is this one here: http://docs.aegisub.org/manual/Karaoke_Templater_Tutorial_1
Your next best option would be to hop on IRC and bug people like lyger and Calyrica for help. You can find both of them in #EveTaku on Rizon. :>

    • As sereft said, rizon IRC is the best place. However, i suggest #Irrational-Typesetting-Wizardry to learn kfxing. Don’t expect to just learn in one day though; kfxing is hard.

  • I actually liked that episode, I might be the only one. I don’t know :) Anyway, thanks for the share! Most of the time, Tsukiyama says French words and sentences, so it’s not a problem for me :p
