I upscaled your 720p to 1080p and couldn’t really see much of a big difference between that and your 1080p. Do you think by any chance the BD source is upscaled?
Most anime sources are upscales. I’d have to go check what we found the native resolution to be, however. It potentially could be larger than 720p.
Question: The version 1080p is an upscaling or is true? And how I can understand if a version 1080p is an upscaling or is true? (I do reviews of italians fansub) THX for help =D
Almost no anime is true 1080p (there are exceptions) but the majority is somewhere between 720p and 1080p native resolution. But Blurays are mastered in 1080p meaning they are upscaled (usually very badly). So for BDs, fansubbers attempt to find the native resolution and downscale to that and then to 720p as well as properly upscale back to 1080p. There probably is no way you can tell if a BD is upscaled unless you’re an encoder, willing to learn a bunch of technical stuff or just ask the people doing the BD what the native resolution was.
Yes, the 1080p is an upscale though it’s not surprising as most anime nowadays is 720p native (or somewhere really close), but that doesn’t mean upscales are bad, they can be enhanced in many ways making them totally worth it if done right!
So care on filling us in on how hard herkz sperged out on nyaa? I could use some more fansubbing cartel drama.

Oh come on…nobody in anime is as big a bitch right now as Tada Banri. At least Murakami has a skill people can use, namely, a photographic memory. And he’s decisive enough to actually do things, unlike Banri.
Watched the first 6 episodes. Now I tried downloading the RAW for BD BOX 2 but the TV subs will not fit at all ;_;
Re-syncing everything will take hours so I’ll just have to wait for an “official” release (by dame)…
It took me an hour, but ep 13 is a bust. There new dialog and different added non dialog spaces. 7-12 was a matter of forwarding the subs by a few sec because of the extra space between op and part a. Since im just doing it for me i don’t care to be perfect. Still gonna need part 2 for archiving and ep 13/ep 11.5 ova.
So when is the second half being released?
