Recruitment
We’ve been pushing pretty hard for new recruits lately and, as you can see above, we’ve been pretty successful. However, that doesn’t mean we don’t need any more help! Even with lots of new staff, sometimes schedules don’t work or issues come up and we need replacements or we’d just like to get more done more quickly. So, we’re in need of Translators and Translation checkers, Encoders, Timers, Typesetters and KFXers. If any of these positions appeal to you, head over to our recruitment page to get started.
And last but not least…
We are still working on Hanamonogatari and Flag, and we are planning to finish them both in the coming weeks. We know that the progress on them has been very slow, so we won’t blame you if you couldn’t wait. But with that said, we will try our best not to let that kind of thing happen again and we hope that you still keep watching our releases in 2015!

Cael, can you provide any instances in vivid’s script where a meme was inserted that was not equivalent to one in the japanese and was not appropriate for the context?
Cael they used memes because there were memes in the dialogue. Vivid’s script is pretty good, the show on the other hand is a massive turd.
Disclaimer: I haven’t watched beyond the first episode yet as I intend to marathon it when i have some free time.
Now, as I understand it, there are memes in the show because (some of) the characters themselves spout Japanese memes. The memes are a part of the script and would therefore go towards the humor and character development.
Having said that however, we wouldn’t just blindly include another groups script in our releases without going through our own QCs and, where necessary, TLC.
So we’ll make improvements if a line of dialogue is wrong, if it makes us cringe, or if we simply have a better idea for it.
What this means for memes in particular is the number of them is unlikely to change drastically unless there were memes added for the sake of adding memes (as fans of Twintails last season discovered). I don’t believe that to be the case here.

The only time I saw a problem with Vivid script was the “TGIF” I just felt that was out of place. I’d also say the “# Happening” now that’s a /pol/ meme for sure and I know a lot of people do not enjoy /pol/ and their spew.
I’m told that Junketsu no Maria is good (based on preview/animesuki).
I hope it will be subbed by DDY even w/o simulcast.

Am I the only one around here who’s waiting for DameDesuYo’s release of Hanamonogatari?? I’ve been patiently waiting for you guys to finish the show. I’ve already downloaded and been seeding the first three episodes since you’ve released it the past year. Now, according to this post, the remaining episode should be ready by when?? If I may ask politely.
PD: I’m probably one of the few who’s been waiting for you, so if you believe the demand doesn’t meet the effort to put out the remaining episodes, I’ll totally understand. Only ask for a friendly heads-up!

I won’t lie and tell you it is high priority at the moment. However, I do intend to get it done. The major hold up right now is typesetting. It’s just kind of grueling. Perhaps i can find some time to do it this weekend but, between starting a full time job and trying to find a house as well as some family related travel, I haven’t been able to do it yet. I do really appreciate it that you are still waiting tho and I’ll try to get it into my priority list.
